There are many exciting new developments in tall wood construction in Portland, OR. We are currently working on the CAD/CAM design and fabrication of a 4-storey glulam frame within the city. The first level of the frame has been installed and was followed by Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) floor panels. The CLT floor was installed in less than 4 hours....
We have recently completed a timber frame for a new residence in Squamish, BC. The frame consists of primarily Douglas-fir beams, with a few glulam beams. It was designed to fit seamlessly with the home’s structural insulated panels (SIPs). Here are a few photos from production and installation.
