The company owner and founder, Stefan Schneider, has spent his entire life in the building industry. As the son of a Swiss Master Timber Framer running a small business, he grew up learning and loving the beauty of timber framing.
In 2002, after receiving his degree as a Timber Engineer ETS/FH, specializing in construction, Stefan moved to North America where he integrated CAD/CAM technology in different companies in the timber industry. He trained factory staff and designers and was personally involved in the realization of projects in log home, timber frame, modular home, glulam, SIP panel, and prefab companies all over the world – including Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America. He has also worked with many famous engineering offices and architectural firms.
Simultaneously, in 2003, Stefan also helped establish Cadwork Canada, Inc. in Montreal. Cadwork is the market-leading Swiss software company developing high end CAD/CAM systems for the global value-added wood industry. Since then, Stefan has worked for Cadwork as a technician and local representative specializing in CNC and CAM integration. In 2004, he started a small Vancouver, BC based Cadwork franchise and became responsible for the entire West Coast of North America.
Stefan’s fascination for high tech machines combined with his software background and his love for traditional craftsmanship has often been the key to getting a project done in an efficient manner.
